Abstract
Previous notions about gender and sex are being challenged throughout all levels of society. Difficult questions of sexual power are publically entwined with equally sensitive questions of sexual morality. Museums have a role to play in informing the public about new developments in this area, providing high-quality research-based information, correcting widespread misinformation, and helping to counter prejudices.
