Abstract
The purpose of the study was to identify if current athletes experienced regret during a season and if they could minimize future regrets through vicarious experiences. The study employed an experimental design. The final sample consisted of 28 athletes (M age = 19.90, SD = 0.94) who responded to online surveys. Results revealed a significant difference between the numbers of regrets expressed by the experimental group compared to the control group. Discussions are provided concerning regrets and behavioral change. Additionally, suggestions are offered for minimizing regret feelings in athletes.
