Risk dependency chain model of dairy agro-industry supply chain using fuzzy logic approach

ABSTRACT

The risks involved in dairy agro-industry supply chain network related to one another and impact on the overall supply chain performance. The purpose of the present study is to establish risk dependency chain model of dairy agro-industry supply chain using fuzzy logic approach. Risk dependency chain model was built from two main phases of risk management, i.e. risk identification and risk assessment. The hierarchy of risks made, serves as a risk level that shows the correlation of risks and risk factors and consequences. The result of that design showed four associated risks: those related to the decreasing amount of dairy production, the decreasing dairy quality, the financial loss due to negligence and fraud and the late dairy delivery to dairy processing industry. The risk mitigation suggested is the structural agency analysis for dairy cattle recording system implementation using the interpretative structural modelling.
