Jacques Roubaud
Jacques Roubaud is a French poet, essayist, novelist, and mathematician. A prolific writer, a leading member of the OULIPO, he is the author of over eighty books, some of which have been translated into English.
Jean-Jacques Poucel, author of Jacques Roubaud and the Invention of Memory, has translated Emmanuel Hocquard’s Conditions of Light and Anne Portugal’s Flirt Formula. He has taught French language, film, and literature at Yale University, the University of Calgary, and the University of Illinois.
