The use of care plans in veterinary nursing: a recently qualified RVN's experience

ABSTRACT

Care plans are an increasingly important part of holistic veterinary nursing. This article explores different models of care using a case study of a three-month-old Malinois Cross puppy with suspected parvovirus.

Anna Lindley is a newly qualified veterinary nurse. She studied for her Diploma Level 3 in Veterinary Nursing at Canterbury College, Kent and now works as a veterinary nurse at Newnham Court Veterinary Hospital in Maidstone, a large, modern, well-equipped practice, which carries out medical and surgical procedures for companion animals, where she is gaining a wide range of valuable veterinary experience.
