ABSTRACT
The development of heritage tourism has experienced significant growth in recent years. In this paper, we present an analysis of the relationship between an Intangible Cultural Heritage, the Fiesta of the Patios in Córdoba, Spain and tourism development. The methodology used in this research consisted of fieldwork to determine the significance of the demographic factors and variables in the level of satisfaction with the visit to the Fiesta of the Patios. Similarly, the contribution of these variables to the level of satisfaction was analysed.

Tomás López-Guzmán is a lecturer in the Department of Applied Economics at the University of Cordoba (Spain). He has degrees in law and economics and business administration, and a Ph.D. in economics. He has written more than 60 articles for academic tourism journals, 15 book chapters and 2 books. His main lines of research are tourism economics and environment. Currently, his research focuses on wine and gastronomy tourism and community-based tourism in developing countries.
Francisco Gonzalez Santa Cruz holds a Ph.D. in business administration and is a lecturer in business organisation at the University of Cordoba, Spain. His main area of research is the relation between human resources and tourism. He has published in different journals such as Journal of Human Resources in Hospitality and Tourism, European Journal of Tourism Research and Tourismos.
