Abstract
This paper presents the design and full-wave analysis of a label-free biosensor based on a plasmonic nanodisk resonator with a radius of 350 nm to sense the concentration of water-soluble Bovine Serum Albumin (BSA) protein. The finite element method (FEM) has been used to analyze its optical characteristics and sensing performance. The designed biosensor has a compact structure with a higher quality factor, narrower FWHM, higher sensitivity, and larger FOM compared to similar plasmonic refractive-index sensors.
