Letter to the Editor

Response to: missing angiogenic factors in hemophilic arthropathy

Page 3 | Received 01 Nov 2017, Accepted 01 Nov 2017, Published online: 07 Nov 2017

Dear Editor,

I appreciate the comments of Dr Norooznezhad.

I accept that in my review paper there was some missing information that Dr Norooznezhad has corrected. Current literature is so extensive that sometimes you overlook information, such as the one presented by their interesting letter.

The important message of their letter is that IL-1, IL-6, TNF-α, MPP-9, and SDF-1 are involved in the pathogenesis of hemophilic arthropathy.

However, in spite of the reports reviewed by them in their letter and by me in my review article, that highlight the role of angiogenesis in hemophilic arthropathy, it is patent that the role of antiangiogenic drugs in the clinical management of hemophilic arthropathy needs further research.
