ABSTRACT
We read with great interest the recent article by Anglaaere et al. (2023). In this article, clay soil with various contents of glass powder (GP) and tyre shred particles (TSP) were subjected to direct shear and California Bearing Ratio (CBR) test, and shear strength (τ) parameters and bearing capacity were reported, respectively. Furthermore, Anglaaere et al. (2023) have performed a correlation analysis and proposed a relationship between the CBR values and τ of the samples. The results presented by Anglaaere et al. (2023) might have been useful, but there are various issues associated with this article, which we want to bring to the attention of the authors, readers, and researchers. We further emphasise that this discussion article would eliminate the dissemination of errors in the scientific knowledge presented by Anglaaere et al. (2023), and will also open new perspectives to the readers and the research fraternity.
