When the above article was published, and contained incorrect data. This has now been corrected below, with the edits formatted in bold.

Page 742, line 1, first column: “A total of 61% had studied for at least eight years.”

Page 742, line 9, first column: “A total of 43% of the DM patients were hypertensive and 24% were obese. Dyslipidemia was observed in 45 (41%), who typically took simvastatin”.

Page 742, line 24, first column: “A total of 71% of patients had studied for less than eight years.”

Page 742, line 28, first column: “All patients took DM-specific medication, 61% of whom took insulin or analogues combined with oral antidiabetic medication and 39% had monotherapy”.
