Théo Régniez

Théo Régniez is PhD Candidate in sociology at Paris-Dauphine University. His dissertation focuses on the production of discourses about the future of the economy, in times of uncertainty. More specifically, he is interested in the forecasters in charge of making diagnoses on the global or national economic outlook. To this end, Régniez conducted a two-year ethnography in a French forecasting center, as well as a series of interviews with forecasters working for different forecasting organizations in France. He also studied how economic expertise is debated in the French National Assembly, analyzing parliamentary discussions based on forecasting data.
