Dr Jirasevijinda is an Associate Professor of Pediatrics at the Weill Cornell Medical College and the Director of Pediatric Undergraduate Medical Education. As medical educator, his professional interests include patient-provider communication, cultural competency and humanism in medicine.
Dr Jirasevijinda earned a B.A.S. in Studio Art (Painting) and Biological Sciences at Stanford University and an M.D. degree at the University of Southern California Keck School of Medicine. He completed his graduate training in Pediatrics at The Mount Sinai Hospital Center in New York City.
Prior to joining Weill Cornell, Dr Jirasevijinda held academic positions at The Albert Einstein College of Medicine, and was a co-investigator of a HRSA (Health Resource Services Administration) grant for residency training in cultural competency.
In addition, Dr Jirasevijinda serves as the Director of Curricular Innovation at the New York Academic of Medicine’s Section on Evidence-Based Practice. He is an associate editor for Health Equity and serves on the Editorial Board for the Journal of Communication in Healthcare.
