Latino Urbanism: defining a cultural urban form

Abstract

Over two days in May 2011, a symposium on the topic of ‘Latino Urbanism’ was convened at the Phoenix Urban Research Laboratory at Arizona State University to discuss how Latino-American culture is shaping urban form in the US. This paper reviews the primary themes and debates surrounding the idea of Latino Urbanism, many of which emerged during that event. All presentations from this conference were videotaped and can be viewed from the Phoenix Urban Research Lab website: http://purl.asu.edu/resources/initiatives-latino-urbanism-multimedia/latino-urbanism.
