ABSTRACT
As many countries are concerned about energy security and environmental pollution, the development of biofuels has been widespread in the aviation industry since the beginning of the twenty-first century. At the same time, the manufacturing of biofuel and its physical characters have been studied by various methods including numeric simulation. In this innovative paper, it is decided to use fluid modeling and numeric simulation software to simulate the properties of bioethanol burning in the combustor of the DGEN380 engine (one of the smallest turbofan engines). The result from the simulation shows that bioethanol can burn efficiently under the flow field of the combustor of DGEN380. Also, the results of the combustion could conform to the requirements for the aviation industry and will give a reference for the real biofuel combustion situation in the combustor ofaviation engines.
