Ian Patterson

Biographical Information

Dr. Patterson is a Lecturer in the School of Leisure Studies at Griffith University, Queensland, Australia. He is the Foundation Studies Coordinator for first year Bachelor of Arts (Leisure Management) students, and lectures in an introductory course on Concepts of Leisure. His particular research interests are in social psychological aspects of leisure and their application to people with disabilities and older populations.

Diane Samdahl

Biographical Information

Dr. Samdahl is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Recreation and Leisure Studies at the University of Georgia. Athens, Georgia, USA. She has a background in sociology, and is interested in the social and cultural forces that influence leisure.

Brenda Robertson

Biographical Information

Ms. Robertson is on the faculty at Acadia University in Wolfville, Nova Scotia, Canada. In addition to this, she is Director of the Recreation Resource Centre of Nova Scotia. At the present time, her research interests are directed toward youth-at-risk.

Mark E. Havitz

Biographical Information

Dr. Havitz is an Associate Professor in the Department of Recreation and Leisure Studies at the University of Waterloo, Ontario, Canada. His prior teaching assignments include the University of Oregon and Iowa State. His research interests involve applying marketing and consumer behavior theory to leisure, recreational and tourism experiences.
