Response	Tackling
Virus Spread and Cordoning off infected areas	All international traveler data was monitored on daily basis. The Government of Pakistan established different emergency centers, the function of these centers was to help out in cordoning off process. Those area where COVID-19 positive case were reported, area was cordoned off to ensure public safety. Samples testing facility was provided by the NIH, Islamabad (Pakistan). The data of COVID-19 tests helped out in curbing of infection spread, on the basis of test results further samples were taken, samples of positive case close contact were taken. Data of international travelers was monitored on daily basis, while traveler were bounded to complete quarantine time period in different quarantine center (Asghar, 2020; Express Tribune. 2020).
Closure of educational institute	All educational institute including school, college and universities were closed after the outbreak attack in Pakistan. All provinces and other territories decided to close educational institute after federal government announcement. Online classes were started to save academic calendar year, almost all universities took online exam (D., 2020b).
Containment Measures	The government restricted traveling in Iran, Afghanistan and China. Pakistani students were mostly stuck off in Europe and China which were allowed to return in country. For this purpose, quarantine centers were established near all Pakistani airports and borders for traveler isolation for short time. The Pakistani government suspended flight operation, and train services (Abid, Bari, Younas, Tahir Javaid, & Imran, 2020).
Testing facility and Contact Tracing	After sudden outbreak of COVID-19 pandemic, Pakistan faces issue in health sector, virus testing capacity was limited. Later the government focused on increased testing capacity. In June,2020, the testing facility reached up to 30,000 tests /Days. The Pakistan government delivered testing kits in whole country according to situation which helped out to all provinces to tackle virus (Dagia, 2020).
Training Program	The Pakistan government decided to lunched Field Epidemiology Training Program, the main aim of this program was to trained health professional working at hospital, and airports to handle virus. The real-time data was recorded in entry system (The FELTP,2020).
Awareness Campaigns and Role of Community	Like other sector, Pakistani media played important role in awareness campaign, all networks sent text messages of awareness and daily reminders on SOPs which helped out to tackle pandemic in unaware population. In different local native languages (Urdu Sindhi, Baluchi, and Pashto) recorded voice messages were sent. The caller tune prior to each call was set of COVID-19 awareness message (changed according to pandemic situation). The main aim of these messages was to spread awareness in public (Zong 4G,2020)
Economic packages	The Pakistan Government announced different packages to lift up people and private sector including business, agriculture and industrial. Ehsaas Cash Program was one of them. The government allowed to start construction works. On this initiative daily-wager started their works, while relief packages were given to poor, rations were distributed in daily wager. Special relief packages were given to health, media and forces worker (Nishtar, S. 2020).
Ventilator’s production	The health system of Pakistan was not excellent as compared to developed countries, ventilators shortage was serious issue, to handle this issue, local ventilators were manufacture within short period. Initially, eight (8) ventilators were hand over to NDMA Pakistan (Desk, 2020).
Health sector initiatives	The government of Pakistan decided to took action against hoarding stocks of essential medicine using in COVID-19, NOC for medical purchase were issue within 24hrs, local hand sanitizer prepared. Pakistan export chloroquine to different countries, plasma therapy started for COVID-19 treatment. The government of Pakistan decided to start COVID-19 vaccination process. Initially, 1.2 million doses of Sinopharm vaccine purchased from China. The DRAP approved the AstraZeneca for emergency use. Later, the DRAP approved Sinopharm COVID−19 vaccine, China provided 1^st and 2^nd doses of vaccine according to demand.
