Eric Leonardson

Eric Leonardson (M.F.A., School of the Art Institute of Chicago, 1983) is a Chicago-based audio artist, performer, composer, and sound designer. Leonardson is co-founder and executive director of the World Listening Project, founder and co-chair of the Midwest Society for Acoustic Ecology, and President of the World Forum for Acoustic Ecology. He is an adjunct associate professor in the Department of Sound at The School of the Art Institute of Chicago (SAIC). Leonardson performs, records, and tours internationally. In 2013, with Prof. Sabine Breitsameter at the Hochschule Darmstadt, Leonardson co-edited Ways of Listening, Figures of Thought: A Festschrift for R. Murray Schafer on the Occasion of His 80th Birthday.
