James Newman is Professor and Subject Leader in The Digital Academy at Bath Spa University, UK. He researches and writes on videogames, gaming cultures and history. His books include Playing with Videogames (Routledge 2008) and Best Before: Videogames, Supersession and Obsolescence (Routledge 2012). James is a co-founder of the UK’s National Videogame Archive.
