Efficacy of Probiotics in the Treatment of Peri-Implant Diseases: A Systematic Review

 

ABSTRACT

A literature search was performed to evaluate the efficacy of probiotics as an adjunct to nonsurgical therapy in the resolution of peri-implant diseases around osseointegrated implants. The Cochrane Oral Health Group’s Trials Register, Google and Embase were searched up to January 2018 for potentially relevant literature.
