Jonathan S. Davies

Jonathan S. Davies is a professor in Critical Policy Studies, and director of, the De Montfort University Centre for Urban Research on Austerity (CURA), part of Leicester Castle Business School. He is a principal investigator on an eight-case study of collaborative governance under austerity discussed briefly in this paper. His research interests encompass state theory, urban governance and public policy. In his capacity as Director of CURA, he advises the UK Labour Party’s Community Wealth Building Unit.

Ioannis Chorianopoulos

Ioannis Chorianopoulos is an associate professor in the Department of Geography at the University of the Aegean. He is a co-investigator on the study of collaborative governance under austerity led by Professor Jonathan S. Davies, leading the Athens case study. His research focuses on urban structuring and governance, social exclusion and participation.
