The Second International Conference on Global Change and the Environment in Asia and Pacific (GCEAP): Inland Waters and Coastal Environment was held on 28–29 October 2010 at the campus of The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shatin, New Territories, Hong Kong.
This conference provided informed debate among scientists and stakeholders related to the environment and global climate change. The details of GCEAP2010 can be found at the website of http://www.iseis.cuhk.edu.hk/gceap2/home.html. The theme of this conference was environmental quality and the impact of global climate change on inland waters and coastal environments, including feedback processes.
Six papers have been peer-reviewed to publish in the journal Annals of Geographical Information Science as a special issue (Vol. 17, No. 2) in 2011. We thank all contributors to this issue.
