Abstract
This qualitative study was conducted at a small historically Black college and university (HBCU) in the southern region of the United States. It explored the perceived barriers to interning abroad for social work students. Twenty (n = 20) full-time students were recruited and data was collected using individual in-depth interviews. Findings from this study shed light on information that might lead to a deeper understanding of some barriers to interning abroad at an HBCU.
