ABSTRACT

This paper presents numerical techniques for computing the response of reinforced concretes structures. From the one degree of freedom case and after the formulation of the equations of dynamic equilibrium, the general case is considered. Two main aspects are treated, the one related to the modal analysis which, in the linear regime, leads to the mode shapes and the natural frequencies, and the one related to the seismic vulnerability analysis which, in the non linear regime, is able to describe the damage location and the critical zones of a given structure. Applications show that the strategy opens on tools useful to design the reinforcement of existing building.

RÉSUMÉ

Cet article présente certaines techniques numériques pour simuler la réponse des structures en béton armé. Du cas à un degré de liberté et après la formulation des équations de la dynamique des structures, les cas plus généraux sont considérés. Deux aspects majeurs sont traités, le premier lié à l'analyse modale qui, en régime linéaire, conduit à la détermination des modes et des fréquences propres et celui de l'analyse de la vulnérabilité sismique qui, en régime non linéaire, est capable de décrire les zones endommagées et les zones critiques d'une structure donnée. Des exemples d'application montrent qu'une telle stratégie ouvre sur des outils utilisables pour concevoir le renforcement de bâtiments existants.
