With this issue, the editorial team is changing again. Michael Bull has resigned as co-editor. In addition to everything else he has been and still is to the field of Sound Studies – pioneer, editor of a most successful reader, author of several classics of the field, to name but a few of his many accomplishments – Michael has been the founder of the journal. As such he has been crucial in safely steering it through its first years of existence after ownership changed from Bloomsbury to Taylor & Francis. As I take over as Editor, I am immensely grateful to Michael for everything he has done for the journal. He will still be an important figure in the future development of the journal though. Michael will assume the role of Founding Editor, offering advice and support as the journal enters a new phase.
