Andy Normann

Andy Normann is an ethnomusicologist who works on African and African Americans musics. His current project is on contemporary South African hip-hop, and his work takes place at the intersection of ethnomusicology, black studies, urban studies, and political theory. Andy holds Masters’ degrees in music composition and ethnomusicology from Bowling Green State University in Ohio, and is currently a PhD student in ethnomusicology at the University of Texas at Austin.
