Jérôme Camal

Jérôme Camal is associate professor of anthropology at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. His work engages with music and dance in an effort to theorize French Antillean postcoloniality. He is the author of Creolized Aurality: Guadeloupean Gwoka and Postcolonial Politics (University of Chicago Press, 2019). He has also published on the sonic politics of Caribbean tourism.
