Abstract

Much of the available material of the Mabuya quinquetaeniata complex from south of Latitude 5°N and east of Longitude 25°E has been examined. Mabuya margaritifera (peters) is reinstated as a full species, which is sympatric with M. quinquetaeniata (Lichtenstein) in southeastern Kenya. Mabuya pulcherrima De Witte is recognised as a full species in the Shaba Province of the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
