Three Immunotherapy papers include a case report on bevacizumab treatment of hereditary haemorrhagic telangiectasia (Kochanowski, p 680), analysis of the DC-based technology landscape (Kong, p 682) and a commentary on the design of universal cancer vaccines (Lokhov, p 689).

We are presenting a phase 3 study of 23-valent Pneumococcal vaccine in healthy Chinese subjects (Li, p 699), four articles on Vaccine Acceptance: analysis of vaccine uptake in health-care workers (Tuckerman, p 704), maternal pertussis vaccination among New York obstetric providers (Bonville, p 713), herpes -zoster vaccination in South Korea (Yang, p 719), and influenza vaccination among university staff (Amour, p 727), followed by a clinical study of an additional booster dose in HPV vaccine (Gilca, p 732),

The Technology section contains reports on microarray analysis of post-vaccination gene expression (Zhang, p 739), electroporation-based intradermal DNA vaccine delivery (McCoy, p 746), and a commentary about CpG mucosal adjuvants (Iho, p 755).

We introduce an analysis of vaccination in Chinese migrant children (Hu, p 761), report on decline in disease after Rotavirus vaccination in Spain (Redondo Gonzalez, p 769), the use of Meningococcal protein PorA as adjuvant (Vasquez, p 776), a commentary on patent eligibility (Chang, p 789), and in silico design of HIV vaccine (Yang, p 795).

In our monthly News, Policy and Profiles (NP&P) track, we offer a selection of the latest news in the field of vaccines and immunotherapeutics. In this section, we also regularly publish opinion pieces on timely, interesting and controversial topics related to vaccines and immunotherapeutics, profiles of companies and organizations, as well as portraits of distinguished scientists in our field.
