A mistake was made in the Results section, where it was stated: Between 1997–2001, when OPV was still used in Italy, Sabin-like type 3 PV was detected in 2 VAPP patients (both occurred in 1997; a 3-y-old male and a 3-y-old female).
This was incorrectly stated and the correction of this statement is as follows: Between 1997–2001, when OPV was still used in Italy, Sabin-like type 3 PV was detected in 2 VAPP patients (both occurred in 1997; a 3-m-old male and a 3-m-old female).
