Dear reader,

We open this issue of Human Vaccines & Immunotherapeutics with a Profile of the biotech company TILT Biotherapeutics (Hemminki, p 970).

Next, the Hepatitis section presents analyses of antibody persistence 20 years after combined hepatitis A and B vaccination (Van Damme, p 972) as well as after priming in infancy versus adolescence (Romanò, p 981), a review of therapeutic hepatitis B vaccine development (Li, p 986), a survey of perceptions of hepatitis B vaccination among those being tested for sexually transmitted infections (Moyroud, p 998), a report on the awareness of the disease in Chinese rural areas (Zheng, p 1005), and a Commentary on the influence of obesity on vaccine immunogenicity (Liu, p 1014).

A review reports on progress in HIV vaccine development (Hsu, p 1018), and four articles give updates on the development of Novel Vaccines: a VLP-based vaccine against RSV (Hwang, p 1031), Hsp65-based tuberculosis vaccine (Wowk, p 1040), adjuvanted herpes zoster subunit vaccine (Godeaux, p 1051) and a review of dengue vaccine (Torresi, p 1059).

We are pleased to present four articles on Immunotherapy: a preclinical study of a CAR-hematopoietic stem cell-based cancer therapy (Larson, p 1094), and three Commentaries on targeting NO synthase (Ekmekcioglu, p 1105), predicting resistance to immunotherapy (Catani, p 1109) and antibody-inducing cancer vaccines (Huijbers, p 1112).

Three research articles on Rotavirus include economic evaluation of routine infant immunization in Japan (Hoshi, p 1115), analyses of immune responses to RV3-BB neonatal vaccine (Chen, p 1126) and vaccination-related iatrogenic pain (Yin, p 1136).

The Acceptance section consists of a prospective study of socio-demographic correlates of childhood vaccination status (Pati, p 1141), an introduction of a new vaccine-information mobile app ReadyVax (Bednarczyk, p 1149), and a commentary on digital tools for vaccine education (Wilson, p 1155).

We introduce a cost-effectiveness analysis of AS04-adjuvanted HPV 16/18 vaccine (Germar, p 1158) and a Letter to the Editor on the strategy for national HPV immunization program in Japan (Tanaka, p 1167).

Next, you will find a preclinical evaluation of a new 13-valent Pneumococcal vaccine (Park, p 1169) and a Commentary of herd effects of PCV in children (van Werkhoven, p 1177).

This issue of HV&I concludes with a report on Meningococcal carriage in Turkish adolescents (Tekin, p 1182), a Phase 3 clinical trial of the egg-based pre-pandemic Influenza A/H5N1 vaccine MG1109 (Song, p 1190), and a review on the Public Health aspects of vaccination of healthcare workers (Ozisik, p 1198).
