On a collection of Moths (Lepidoptera: Heterocera) from the northern Western Ghats of Maharashtra, India

ABSTRACT

In the present study, 99 species of 83 genera under 14 families of moths have been documented from the northern Western Ghats of Maharashtra, India. Among the recorded species, four are a new record for the Maharashtra state and four are endemic to India. This is a preliminary study and the first report covering almost the entire northern Western Ghats of Maharashtra, India.
