This paper contains an error in Tables 1–3 and a number of typos in the text when the above mentioned article was first published online. The list of errors are as follows:

  1. The values “1.7, 1.5, and 1.5” mentioned in the sentence “The Registry identified 5695 ALS cases in 2014; 6045 cases in 2015; and 4861 cases in 2016 for age-adjusted incidence rates of 1.7 (2014), 1.5 (2015), and 1.5 (2016)…” under “Result” part of the “Abstract” were incorrect.

  2. The complete values mentioned under column 3 [Age-adjusted standardized incidence rate, (95% CI)], the values “1.9 (1.8, 2.0), 1.0 (0.9, 1.1), and 1.5 (1.3, 1.7)” under column 5 [Age-adjusted standardized incidence rate, (95% CI)], and the values “1.56 (1.5, 1.61), 2.6 (2.5, 2.7), 1.1 (1.0, 1.2), and 1.2 (1.0, 1.3)” under column 7 [Age-adjusted standardized incidence rate, (95% CI)] of Table 1 were incorrect.

  3. The values “1.75 (1.7–1.8), (2.2, 2.0–2.1), and (1.2, 1.2–1.3)” mentioned in the sentence “The age-adjusted standardized incidence rates per 100,000 population and 95% confidence intervals were 1.75 (1.7–1.8) in 2014, 1.6 (1.5–1.6) in 2015, and 1.6 (1.5–1.6) in 2016. Males had a higher incidence rate (2.2, 2.0–2.1) than females (1.2, 1.2–1.3)…” under “Result” section of the article body were incorrect.

  4. The values “30.6–34.3 and 27.6–33.7” mentioned in the sentence “The age groups with the highest incidence rates across all years were between the ages of 60–69 (30.6–34.3 age-adjusted rates per 100,000) and 70–79 (27.6–33.7 age-adjusted rates per 100,000)” under “Result” section of the article body were incorrect.

  5. The value “1.6–1.9” mentioned in the sentence “The age group with the lowest incidence rates was those between the ages of 18–39 (1.6–1.9 age adjusted rates per 100,000)…” under “Result” section of the article body was incorrect.

  6. The complete values mentioned under columns 2–4 [2014, 2015, and 2016] and rows 2–6 [18–39, 40–49, 50–59, 60–69, 70–79, and ≥80] of Table 2 were incorrect.

  7. The complete values mentioned under column 3 [Age-adjusted standardized incidence rate, (95% CI)] of Table 3 were incorrect and thousand comma separator was not used in the values under column 2 [No. cases (%)] of Table 3.

  8. The values “1.5 and 1.7” mentioned in the sentence “The limited data presented here suggest the incidence of ALS in the United States. may be steady between 1.5 and 1.7 per 100,000 population” under paragraph 5 of “Discussion” section of the article body were incorrect.

The above errors are now corrected and the article has been re-published online.
