Three- and six-point estimators of sinusoidal signal characteristics

ABSTRACT

The paper concerns issues of selected sinusoidal signal characteristic estimation based on the smallest possible number of signal samples. The object of the research has been the mean square value and the autocorrelation function. Estimators of the investigated characteristics have been determined based on three and six quantised samples. Measurement conditions have been specified for which the quantisation effect on estimator values can be eliminated. The research has been carried out analysing the effect of signal parameters and of A/D conversion on estimator values.
