A statistical model of FBMC-OQAM signals for predicting spectral regrowth

ABSTRACT

In this article, we proved that the filter bank multi-carrier (FBMC) with offset quadrature amplitude modulation (OQAM) signals asymptotically converges to a white Gaussian random process as the number of subcarriers increase to infinity. Hence, a band-limited flat spectrum model, with a large number of subcarriers, is proposed to simplify the prediction of the spectral regrowth of amplified FBMC-OQAM signals in terms of the output intermodulation products.
