When the article was first published in 2018, there were few incorrect details and authors would like to submit the following corrections for the article:

In P.5, Section “CHLA and PUG target CVA16 capsid proteins and mask the pocket entrance”:

1. “Both CHLA and PUG showed … , with CHLA having 6 polar contacts and a binding energy of 8.2 kcal/mol (Fig. 5a)” should read “Both CHLA and PUG showed … , with CHLA having 6 polar contacts and a binding energy of -8.2 kcal/mol (Fig. 5a)”.

2. “PUG … , having 9 polar contacts and a binding energy of 12.3 kcal/mol (Fig. 5b)” should read “PUG … , having 9 polar contacts and a binding energy of -12.3 kcal/mol (Fig. 5b)”.

In P.6, Discussion:

  • 1. ”Due to their shapes and a higher binding energy, GPP3 and NLD exert antiviral activity by displacing the pocket factor and preventing structural conformational changes of VP1 from occurring during enterovirus entry” should read “Due to their shapes and lower binding energies, GPP3 and NLD exert antiviral activity by displacing the pocket factor and preventing structural conformational changes of VP1 from occurring during enterovirus entry”.

The authors apologize for any inconvenience caused by these errors.
