Nancy Houfek

Nancy Houfek is the former Head of Voice and Speech at Harvard’s American Repertory Theater (ART), and she is a Senior Teacher of Fitzmaurice Voicework. After receiving a BA from Stanford University and an MFA from the American Conservatory Theater, she performed in regional theaters throughout the country. She has held faculty positions at the University of Washington, ACT, Southern Methodist University, the University of Minnesota, and the ART. She has presented workshops combining voice and acting with negotiation and leadership techniques for corporations, think tanks, universities, and professional organizations worldwide. She currently lives in Hood River, OR, where she is an award-winning visual artist.
