Petronilla Whitfield
Petronilla Whitfield is Associate Professor in Voice and Acting at the Arts University Bournemouth, UK. She has a PhD in arts pedagogy and an MA in voice studies. She was an actor for 20 years and has taught at actor training institutions for 22 years. Her book Teaching Strategies for Neurodiversity and Dyslexia in Actor Training was published in 2020 (Routledge), and her second book Inclusivity and Equality in Performance Training was published in 2022 (Routledge). She was awarded the ‘Johnny Saldaña Outstanding Professor of Theatre Education Award’ (2ss020) by AATE and ‘The Transformational Research Prize’ (2021) by TaPRA.
