Abstract
Pamela Church Gibson and Roma Gibson's edited collection Dirty Looks: Women Power, Pornography appeared at a turning point in the evolution of pornography as a subject of academic study. This article takes the form of an interview with Pamela Church Gibson and considers the book's aim of opening up new avenues for the academic analysis of a variety of pornographies, its impact, the recent direction of ‘porn studies’ and changes within the industrial and representational nature of pornographic media.
