The article “Nutritional, technological, and medical approach of finger millet (Eleusine coracana), Amir Gull, Gulzar Ahmad Nayik, Kamlesh Prasad & Pradyuman Kumar, Cogent Food & Agriculture (2015), 1: 1090897” is being retracted by the Publishers and Editors to maintain the integrity and originality of the scholarly record. Following publication of the article, after peer review and acceptance for publication in good faith, it has been found that several sections of the article are substantially similar to two previously published articles: “Millet Grains: Nutritional Quality, Processing, and Potential Health Benefits, Ahmed S.M. Saleh, Qing Zhang, Jing Chen, Qun Shen, Comprehensive Reviews in Food Science and Food Safety (2013), 12, 281-295” and “World Sorghum and Millet Market, Miller Magazine (2014), 8, 83-87” without due attribution or acknowledgement. It is the policy of Cogent Food & Agriculture to publish entirely original work only and as such this action constitutes a breach of the editorial policy. The authors have failed to provide a satisfactory explanation for the areas of similarity.
