1. Common External Tariff (CET) refers to a uniform tariff rate, agreed to by all members in a customs union, which is imposed on products imported from outside the union.
2. EAC-COMESA-SADC Tripartite Free Trade Area was established in 2014 and envisages the free movement of goods among the 26 countries that comprise the EAC, COMESA (Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa), and SADC (Southern African Development Community) economic blocs.
