When the above article was first published online, there was an error in the title, “Ismau Noguchi” should have read “Isamu Noguchi”.

The title has now been corrected to:

The most modern city in the world: Isamu Noguchi’s cenotaph controversy and Hiroshima’s city of peace

The author apologises for this error.
