When the above article was first published online, it contained production errors.
Throughout the article, “counter-insurgency” should have been “counterinsurgency”.
On page 2, the line “between times, places, humanitarian responses, and counterinsurgency’s” should have read “between times, places, humanitarian responses, and counterinsurgencies.”
On pages 7, 10 (twice), 12, 13 and 15, the book title “counterinsurgency Field Manual” should have been “Counterinsurgency Field Manual”.
On page 19, the book title in the reference for US Army and Marine Corps, 2007 was given as “counterinsurgency field manual” when it should have been “Counterinsurgency field manual”.
Finally, on page 12 the line “reference to the ‘unthinkability’ of Haitian revolution” should have been “reference to the ‘unthinkability’ of the Haitian revolution”.
These errors have now been corrected in both the print and online versions.
Taylor & Francis apologises for these errors.
