ABSTRACT
The identification of aestheticized urban districts with music scenes is a simplification of economic and cultural processes that take place at the metropolitan region and not at the urban district scale. Creative urban districts are a component of larger systems that include diverse consumers from different social classes with diverse tastes, many of whom come from places that are not as glamorous or trendy as hip neighbourhoods. These other urban areas and the producers and consumers of cultural products in those areas tend to be forgotten or dismissed as unimportant. Exploring the spatial patterns of creative clusters at the intra-urban level is relevant for a better understanding of the role of central and peripheral districts in the functioning of these industries. Using social network analysis, this research spatializes Mexico City’s local digital generation music scene and reveals a metropolitan-wide network of venues and bands. Policy implications targeting the network of venues and bands are discussed.

墨西哥城数字音乐现场的区域与网络. RESUMEN
Distritos y redes en la escena musical de la generación digital en la Ciudad de México. Area Development and Policy. La identificación de distritos urbanos estetizados con escenas musicales es una simplificación de los procesos económicos y culturales que tienen lugar en la región metropolitana y no a escala de distritos urbanos. Los distritos urbanos creativos constituyen un componente de sistemas más grandes que incluyen a diferentes consumidores de distintas clases sociales con gustos diferentes, muchos de los cuales proceden de lugares que no son tan encantadores o modernos como sus vecindarios de moda. Se suelen olvidar estas otras áreas urbanas así como los productores y consumidores de productos culturales de estas zonas, o simplemente se consideran poco relevantes. Es importante analizar los patrones espaciales de las aglomeraciones creativas en los niveles intraurbanos para entender mejor el papel de los distritos centrales y periféricos en la funcionalidad de estas industrias. A partir de un análisis de redes sociales, en este estudio se espacializa la escena musical de la generación digital de la Ciudad de México y se revela una red metropolitana de locales y grupos musicales. También se debaten las repercusiones políticas que abordan la red de locales y grupos musicales.

Районы и сети на музыкальной сцене цифрового поколения в Мехико. Area Development and Policy. Сопоставление эстетизированных городских округов с музыкальными сценами является упрощением экономических и культурных процессов, которые происходят в метрополитенском регионе, а не в масштабе городских районов. Творческие городские районы являются составной частью более крупных систем, которые включают различных потребителей из разнообразных социальных классов с разными вкусами, многие из которых происходят из мест, не столь гламурных или модных, как элитные районы. Эти другие районы, как и производители и потребители культурной продукции в этих районах, как правило, оказываются забытыми или игнорируются как не имеющие большого значения. Изучение пространственных закономерностей творческих кластеров на внутригородском уровне является актуальной задачей для лучшего понимания роли центральных и периферийных районов в функционировании культурных отраслей. С помощью анализа социальных сетей это исследование локализует музыкальные площадки цифрового поколения в Мехико и показывает городскую сеть площадок и коллективов. Рассматриваются выводы относительно политики в отношении этой сети площадок и коллективов.
