It has been brought to the attention of the Editor and Publishers of Mitochondrial DNA Part A that the DNA sequence described in this article may not be that of Pomacea maculata as stated in the article. Instead, it may be a cryptic species molecularly close to Pomacea maculata. We would like to correct that the mitogenome with the GenBank accession no. KR350466 discribed in this paper was from Pomacea sp.
The authors are conducting further analyses to confirm the identity of the species. In the meantime, we are issuing this Expression of Concern to alert Mitochondrial DNA Part A readers.
