ABSTRACT
The syntheses, luminescence and structures of {[Ln(L)3(2,2′-bipy)]n·H2O} (Ln = Y(1), Yb(2), and Er(3)) (3-(2-hydroxyphenyl)propanoic acid (HL)), determined by single-crystal X-ray diffraction, are reported.The structural determinations indicated that compounds 1–3 have similar dimer with six carboxylate bridges; the adjacent dimer can be further linked into two-dimensional (2D) sheets via the hydrogen (H) bond interactions. Furthermore, the luminescent properties of compound 2 showed the mild emissive feature.
