ABSTRACT
A one-dimensional Co(II) complex [Co(BPDC)(NPT)]n (1) (H2BPDC = benzophenone-2,4′-dicarboxylic acid, NPT = 1-(4-nitrophenyl)-1,2,4-triazole) has been synthesized and characterized using single crystal X-ray diffraction, IR and elemental analysis. Single-crystal X-ray diffraction analysis revealed that complex 1 is a one-dimensional double chain polymer based on [Co2(OCO)2] binuclear motif. The thermal stability and magnetic properties of complex 1 have been investigated, which revealed antiferromagnetic coupling interaction exists between Co(II) ions.
