Abstract
In this study, tannin immobilized SBA-15 (Tan@SBA-15-NH2) as a novel adsorbent was synthesized and used for removal of acid blue 62 (AB62) from aqueous media. The synthesized composite was characterized by different methods such as FT-IR, XRD, BET, SEM, EDX and TEM. Effect of some parameters such as pH, adsorbent dosage and contact time for removal of AB62 were examined and optimized. The Langmuir isotherm and pseudo-second order kinetic model were very compatible with the equilibrium and kinetic data and maximum adsorption capacity of 1000 mg/g was achieved.
