Jingqiu Guan is a PhD candidate in Culture and Performance at the Department of World Arts and Cultures/Dance at UCLA. Her dissertation research explores the aesthetics and politics of dance and moving image in mainland China and Hong Kong. Jingqiu is also a filmmaker and choreographer. She has presented her dance film works in various screendance festivals and exhibitions in the US, China, Hong Kong, the UK, and Norway.

1. The festival was originally scheduled from September 8–16. Due to the ravaging Typhoon Mangkhut that hit Hong Kong on September 16, the last day of the program was delayed until September 23.
