Abstract
The purpose of this paper is to review the literature related to the reliability and clinical validity of the Southern California Postrotary Nystagmus Test. Extensive research has been done on both normal and abnormal school age children and on normal land high-risk infants. Precaution for administration and guidelines for interpretation of postrotary nystagmust test scores are discussed. Alternate methods of measuring nystagmus, such as caloric and per-rotary induces nystagmus, are compared to postrotary nystagmus.
