Abstract
Let D be an integral domain which is not a field. We show that Int(D) is a globalized pseudo-valuation domain (or, in short, a GPVD) if and only if D is a GPVD and an interpolation domain; in that case, each overring of Int(D) is a GPVD, and each overring of D is a GPVD and an interpolation domain.
